Fabien Siouffi

For 20 years, Fabien Siouffi has been exploring the future of video games and web communities. Before devoting himself to creative technologies such as Metaverse game engines and XR, he was an executive at 3 of the largest video game companies - Activision-Blizzard, Electronic Arts & Take 2 & Rockstar games. There, he has helped design and launch metaverse like games such as World of Warcraft, FIFA Online and GTA Online.

In 2016 he comes back to Europe, pivots from gaming to immersive media and founds Fabbula. This cultural agency is dedicated to the idea of “worlding” with artists and thinkers who practice new media such as virtual and augmented reality, metaverse making and livestream. As a creative producer, diffuser and curator, Fabien and his team continuously report on these new artistic practices during major exhibitions such as Palais Augmenté (2021, Grand Palais), Les Ailleurs (2021, Gaîté Lyrique), the VR Arles Festival and Incarnations (2018 - 2021, Rencontres de la Photographie of Arles). He also regularly publishes and lectures on these topics in art & design schools such as SciencePo Paris, Le Fresnoy, ECAL and IAAC.

Since 2021, he is the artistic director of Octobre Numérique - Faire Monde, a new festival dedicated to an open, inclusive and durable metaverse.

• 5 years as a startup founder, trailblazing sustainable & inclusive practices with XR, NFTs and Metaverse. Wore many hats such as community and knowledge builder, producer and event organizer.

• Full metaverse & Web3 expertise: Real time 3D, game engines Unreal & Unity pipelines, online & social analytics, cloud & 5G processing, ecommerce. Web3 : ERC protocols, DAO, PoS blockchains.

• Creative tech communities : Unreal/Unity, Blender, Maya, Octane, ThreeJS, WebXR

• Bilingual english/french: worked internationally for 20 years (APAC, North America)
